The birth of transformation began from a one-time installation sculpture of found objects to represent a form in nature. There are forms in nature that are always shifting, evolving, and sometimes never returning to their original state. Just as in life from the time we are born to the time we turn to stardust Much like the universe which is always shifting and changing, Transformation is a continuous
The sculpture was photographed at different intervals of the day. The photographs revealed the interaction of light and materials creating colors, shadows, and moirés. The photographs were printed out onto paper for further study. The images were subtracted from these studies, introducing new forms, and materials included in this series. Some of the images can be rotated instead of one image transforming into four images in one artwork. The body of work of “Transformation” will be a lifetime series of drawings, paintings, and collages during the course of the artist’s life. It will keep evolving and expanding into something new from the previous form.
